Swim Teams

Our Marlin swim team was developed in the summer of 2004 and has been growing ever since.  Start your process of becoming a Marlin by trying out on any Tuesday at 6:30 pm.    Come make waves with our year-round Marlin swim team!

Summer League: Make a splash every summer with our Summer League!  This program is ideal for beginner to intermediate swimmers. They will develop stroke technique as well as build endurance. As a bonus, swimmers will get a taste of completion at our Fun Meets.

Master Swim Team: Our growing master swim team is for all levels (19 and older).  Whether you are training for a triathlon, competing in swim meets, or just betting your overall health, swimming is one of the best exercises you can do. Facility Members $25/month Program Members $30/Month Schedule: May 3-28   Mon/Wed- 6:30-7:30p                  Tues/Thurs- 6:00-7:00p

Swim Team Levels and Descriptions:

Pre Bronze: Must complete 1 length of the pool and demonstrate basic understanding of freestyle and breaststroke. This level includes the introduction of the basic technical skills of swimming.

Bronze: Introduction of 50 meter interval training in freestyle and backstroke. Build and develop beginning skills in butterfly  and breaststroke. This level introduces flip turns and starts.  The Bronze level focuses on building endurance and personal improvement.

Silver: Receive coaching in the foundations of competitive swimming in all 4 competitive strokes. An emphasis is placed on proper stroke technique and form.

Gold: Advanced swimmers focus on conditioning strokes, turn techniques, starts and interval training. This level will master all 4 competitive strokes.  Swimmers are also introduced to proper stretching and dry land workouts.

Senior: Elite swimmers train in overall conditioning, detailed technique in all 4 competitive strokes, flip turns and starts.  These swimmers are held at a high level and are pushed to compete to the best of their ability.
