Group Exercise Classes


Group Exercise (GroupEx) is a great way to get your heart pumping and a full body workout. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, so picking a class that is convenient and fits your schedule is easy to do. Classes are available for the beginner to the advanced athlete. Group exercise classes are FREE to members.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions:

Cardiovascular Classes:

Kickboxing: A total body workout that will knock you off your feet!  This class combines elements of boxing, martial arts and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning.  Kickboxing does not involve physical contact between other members, but it will include stretching and traditional exercises such as jumping jacks, push-ups knee strikes, kicks and punches.  All levels welcome. 

Step: This workout will improve your cardio fitness by keeping your heart rate consistently elevated with easy to follow choreography mixed with optional power intervals using the step.  This is a great class for all fitness levels, and those looking for an effective workout.  Classes may include Xpress step (30 min) and Interval step.

Cardio Fusion:  A non-stop cardio class utilizing a variety of cardio techniques, such as step, kickboxing, hi/lo aerobics, etc.   This class is designed to keep your motivation and excitement high and will maximize your fat-burning efforts with fun movements demonstrated at various levels of difficulty.  Great for both beginners and veterans.

Trekking: Take your workout outside the studio and onto the treadmills.  This class involves speed and hill intervals to increase fat burn and pump up your cardiovascular system. 

Group Cycling: This group indoor cycling format offers a fun and motivating workout for those familiar with cardiovascular exercise.  It stimulates an ‘all terrain’ bike ride that will challenge both your cardiovascular and muscular endurance.  This class is ‘at your own pace’ and you will need to bring a towel and a water.

ZUMBA®: ZUMBA® fuses hypnotic Latin  rhythms and easy to follow moves to create dynamic fitness program that will blow you away!  We want you to work out, to love working out and to get hooked!  You will achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

BODYCOMBAT™: A high energy, self-empowering martial arts based workout that combines kickboxing, Karate, Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do.  Come discover the fighter within as you burn a lot of calories while enjoying great music!

Dance Fusion: A fusion of high-energy dance styles with challenging but fun moves to get your body toned.  Groove to the beats of the latest songs as you warm-up and learn an exciting, lively dance routine.

 

Strength & Conditioning Classes:

BODYPUMP™: The original barbell class.  Designed for all fitness levels, BODYPUMP™ delivers real results, real fast.  This structured based workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every major muscle group in the body.  With motivating music, awesome instructors, BODYPUMP™ strengthens, tones and defines the body as nothing else can.

BODYFLOW™: A combination of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm.  Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Total Body Sculpt: Muscle endurance and/or strength workout utilizing hand weights, tubes, stability balls, BOSU's and step platforms.  Does not include cardiovascular training.  Challenge yourself in a whole new way!

Interval Training: A mix of high/low-intensity aerobic and anaerobic activity to develop power and increase functional movement!  Includes calisthenics, plyometrics, and  strength training for a total-body workout!

Bootcamp: No pain, no gain! Boot Camp is comprehensive basic training class, is intense and consists of pushups, jumping jacks, squats, plyometrics, body resistance training, and running.  If you are looking for a challenge, this is the class for you! No sign up necessary. Bring a towel, water and your enthusiasm!

Yoga: A mind/body class that explores gentle movements to increase flexibility, strength and well being.  Members are led through stretches, Yoga poses, and breathing practices, then guided into deep relaxation.  Use the whole body through concentrated movements, balancing and mind/body focus.

Yoga Motion: Gentle, but challenging workout to improve daily life activities.  Ideal for seniors and for those new to fitness.  This class is a mind-body movement that heightens kinesthetic awareness, stimulates mind-body connection, improves posture and increases balance.

Pilates: Pilates borrows from Yoga, ballet, and gymnastics to create mind/body work that is oriented at "core training" with a supplement of an overall strengthening and flexibility regiment.

Sets and Reps: Strength and conditional class using barbells, dumbbells, and resistance bands.  This class will teach you how to use a variety of different sets and reps to reach your fitness goals.

Athletic Conditioning: Muscle strength and endurance workout utilizing hand weights, tubes, stability balls, BOSU's and steps.  Combined with a strong cardiovascular component, this class will help you discover your within!

Active Older Adult Classes:

Functional Fitness: A total body workout designed for active older adults and entry level fitness enthusiasts.  This program is a combination of strength, balance, and coordination to improve overall body awareness.

Classes for Kids:

Kid Fit: A program combining fun and physical activity for children ages 7-12.  Kids will participate in fun activities and games for strength, flexibility and balance.  They will skip, hop and jump their way to fitness!
