Pool Guidelines: Our goal as YMCA Lifeguards is to ensure aquatic safety for all. Participants under the age of 14 must take a swim test before using the pool unless a parent is in the water within arms reach at all times.

• A parent must be in the water within arms reach of children ages 6 and under. Parents may sit on the edge of the pool if children ages 5-6 have successfully completed a swim test.
• Children ages 7-12 may use the swimming pool with a parent in the YMCA facility and after successfully completing a swim test.
• If a child successfully completes a swim test, they will receive a GREEN wrist band and may use the swimming pool while a parent is in the YMCA facility.
