CFA Clubs
For ALL Campers 8-15
Summer 2007, all campers, 8-15 year olds, will participate in one CFA Club per session. Campers attend the CFA Club for one and half hours each morning learning in-depth things about his/her chosen activity area. Following are Club descriptions.
O.W.L.S. (Outdoor environmental skills)
New for 2007! Outdoor Wellness & Living Skills is the place for those who love trekking, outdoor cooking, challenges, want to learn about camping and astronomy and more!
BULL’S EYE CLUB (Target Sports)
Learn to aim for the bull’s eye in both Archery and Riflery (BB’s and pellet). Just for fun, you will also try your skills out in horseshoes, Frisbee golf and more.
GUADALUPE RIVER RATS CLUB (Aquatics)
This is for the camper that truly loves the water! Spend time learning water survival skills, canoeing techniques and more. For fun, the River Rats will play on the rope swing, water slide and all kinds of water games.
CARABINEER CLUB (Challenge Course)
Climb your challenge and face your fears while you spend time among the tree tops. Campers will spend their time on the high ropes course learning all about belaying, ropes safety and playing on our intense course.
CRAFTERS CLUB (Crafts & Pottery)
This is for the imaginative and highly creative camper. Learn pottery, candle making, tie dying, kite making, paper making and more. It is a great time to create more in depth crafting that you get to take home! No charge.
CFA SADDLE CLUB (Horse Clinic)
The Horse Clinic is getting a renovation. It is the only clinic open to all campers, 8-14 years old. Centered on western riding skills, CFA Saddle Club participants will learn horse wellness, tack maintenance, and riding skills. There is an additional cost of $120 per session. Space is limited, so sign up now. Only send money if this is camper’s # 1 choice.
VARSITY CLUB (All Sports)
For the super-energized or athletic campers, we will now be offering All Sports Club! The actual sport activities will be decided by the Club Staff and the campers who select this option. Some of the sports may include: kickball, softball, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, Capture the Flag, flag football, volleyball, hiking and more! All Sports Club is sure to be a blast with a strong focus on learning new skills and good sportsmanship
