Helping Hands Scholarship

The YMCA of Greater San Antonio is firmly committed to providing a quality program and a safe environment for each child. As a nonprofit association, we are acutely sensitive to maximizing resources in order to provide the best possible program for the lowest cost to participants.

Many times working families need help in paying for childcare services. The YMCA's annual fundraising campaign is geared to provide scholarship dollars for families in need. Each family is asked to complete a scholarship application which is then evaluated and awarded financial assistance. More than $60,000 is awarded by the Comal YMCA Branch for children each year.

We are confident that our program continues to be among the finest available for the cost and we will continue our efforts to maintain reasonable rates in the midst of improvements to our program.

Scholarship Packets are available at the Comal YMCA Branch Office or may be downloaded and brought, in person, to the Comal YMCA Branch office.  Scholarship packets are evaluated and then awarded funding by the Northeast YMCA.  Please contact the Northeast YMCA for Scholarship status and questions.
