Group Exercise Classes

Group Exercise (GroupEx) is a great way to get your heart pumping and a full body workout. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, so picking a class that is convenient and fits your schedule is easy to do. Classes are available for the beginner to the advanced athlete. Group exercise classes are FREE to members.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions:

Cardiovascular Classes:

Body Combat™: An empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed.  This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai.  Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, strike.

Boot Camp: No pain, no gain! Boot Camp is comprehensive basic training class, is intense and consists of push-ups, jumping jacks, squats, plyometrics, body resistance training, and running.  If you are looking for a challenge, this is the class for you! No sign up necessary. Bring a towel, water and your enthusiasm!

Kickboxing: A total body workout that will knock you off your feet!  This class combines elements of boxing, martial arts and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning.  Kickboxing does not involve physical contact between other members, but it will include stretching and traditional exercises such as jumping jacks, push-ups knee strikes, kicks and punches.  All levels welcome. 

Step: This workout will improve your cardio fitness by keeping your heart rate consistently elevated with easy to follow choreography mixed with optional power intervals using the step.  This is a great class for all fitness levels, and those looking for an effective workout.  Classes may include Xpress step (30 min) and Interval step.

Group Cycling: This group indoor cycling format offers a fun and motivating workout for those familiar with cardiovascular exercise.  It stimulates an ‘all terrain’ bike ride that will challenge both your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. This class is ‘at your own pace’ and you will need to bring a towel and a water.

ZUMBA®: ZUMBA® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create dynamic fitness program that will blow you away!  We want you to work out, to love working out and to get hooked!  You will achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Strength & Conditioning Classes:

BODYFLOW™: A combination of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm.  Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

BODYPUMP™: The original barbell class.  Designed for all fitness levels, BODYPUMP™ delivers real results, real fast.  This structured based workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every major muscle group in the body.  With motivating music, awesome instructors, BODYPUMP™ strengthens, tones and defines the body as nothing else can.

CXWORX: 30-minute workout that hones in on the torso and slin muscles that connect your upper body & lower body. It's ideal for tightening your tummy and butt, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.

DIVA:(Deriving Inspiration and Vitality through Activity) is a fitness program that offers Belly Dancing, Thai Chi, Yoga, and Zumba as well as nutritional counseling. The program is provided at no charge through the support of ThriveWell. (For DIVA members only)

Mat Pilates: Pilates borrows from yoga, ballet, and gymnastics to create mind/body work that is oriented at "core training" with a supplement of an overall strengthening and flexibility regimen. Pilates is a mind-body movement that heightens kinesthetic awareness, stimulates mind-body connection, improves posture and increases balance.

TRX® (Total-Body Resistance Exercise): TRX® combines variable resistance body weight training, elements of stability, and multiple planes of movement to train the entire body. TRX® builds truly on functional strength, core stability, balance and flexibility all at once. 

Yoga: A mind/body class that explores gentle movements to increase flexibility, strength, and well being.  Members are led through stretches, yoga poses, and breathing practices, then guided into deep relaxation.  Use the whole body through concentrated movements, balancing, and mind/body focus. 

Senior Classes:

SilverSneakers CardioCircuit®: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers YogaStretch®: YogaStretch® will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

SilverSneakers MSROM®: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
