Group Exercise Classes



Group Exercise (GroupEx) is a great way to get your heart pumping and a full body workout. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, so picking a class that is convenient and fits your schedule is easy to do. Classes are available for the beginner to the advanced athlete. Group exercise classes are FREE to members.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions:

Cardiovascular Classes:

30/30: This class is 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of conditioning.

BODYCOMBAT: BODYCOMBAT is a fiercely energetic program, inspired by martial arts.  BODYCOMBAT draws a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai.  Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors - strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. 

 

CXWORX: CXWORX hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your torso by involving core training, strength training and functional fitness. You'll run faster, play harder and stand stronger.

Cardio Dance: Dance and get your cardio at the same time! Fun and exciting routines will have you dancing the calories away.

Cardio Strike: Punch and kick your way towards improving stamina, strength and flexibility in this high intense cardio fat burning class!

Group Cycle: a moderate to high-intensity class that involves different techniques both in and out the saddle. If you are up for a challenge, this class is for you! Sign up at the Welcome Center, no more then 48 hours from the start of class. Limited to 16 people per class, reservations will be forfeited 5 min after the start of class to accommodate our wait list.

Trekking: This will be a whole new experience on the treadmill. Classes will take place in the wellness center with an instructor. Sign up at the Welcome Center, no more then 48 hours from the start of class. Limited to 8 people per class, reservations will be forfeited 5 min after the start of class to accomodate our waitlist.

Step: This workout will improve your cardio fitness by keeping your heart rate consistently elevated with easy-to-follow choreography mixed with optional power intervals using the step. This is a great class for all fitness levels, and those looking for an effective workout.
Classes may include Xpress step (30 min) and Interval step.

Strength & Conditioning Classes:

Full body Sculpting: Shaping the body with weights for muscular strength and defining the muscles to obtain a slim and athletic physique.

Mat Pilates: Lengthen and strengthen your body using your core muscles through a series of low to non-impact exercises designed to focus on the abdominal, back and hips.

Yoga: A full body and breath aerobic workout designed to increase muscle strength, enhance flexibility, balance and alignment.

Yoga Core: Compliment your yoga and Pilates practice with this strength based-flow between yoga postures and a series of pilates exercises that are designed to increase muscle strength, enhance flexibility, balance and alignment. This class will target the core to tone the belly, protect the back and improve posture.

BODYPUMP™: The original barbell class.  Designed for all fitness levels, BODYPUMP™ delivers real results, real fast. This structured-based workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every major muscle group in the body. With motivating music and awesome instructors, BODYPUMP™ strengthens, tones, and defines the body as nothing else can.
 

BODYFLOW™: The yoga, tai chi, and pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength, leaving you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration, and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves, and poses create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. 

Zumba: ZUMBA® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away! We want you to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked! You will achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Zumbatomic: Kids can learn to Zumba with age-appropriate music!

 

Active Older Adult/Silver Sneaker Classes:

SilverSneakers Classic (formerly MSROM)®: Have fun and move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Equipment includes: hand weights, elastic tubing with handles, a ball offered for resistance, and chair for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers Cardio®: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Strengthen your upper body with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball, alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers Yoga®: YogaStretch® will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

ZUMBA GOLD: A perfect blend of Latin dance aerobics designed for the active older participant, as well as those just getting started.
