Personal training at the YMCA is a way to get a one-on-one workout that is convenient for you. Our professional and certified trainers will design a program to help you meet your personal goals. Our staff will guide you in creating a personalized training program—whether you are new to fitness or an avid athlete looking to ramp up your workout.

 

 


The New Braunfels YMCA Health & Wellness

All of our personal training programs are designed with your individual needs in mind and incorporate the following seven components found to be essential to peak healthy living and performance:

Dynamic Warm-up and Mobility Drills – an active warm-up routine that replaces traditional pre-exercise stretching

Prehabilitation – say goodbye to bad shoulders, backs and knees with this proactive approach to protecting yourself from injury

Physioball routines – a series of exercises to improve hip, core and shoulder strength and stability

Elasticity and Plyometrics Training – get your bounce back and move quicker and smoother

Strength – a new approach to resistance training based on body movements for increased power, stability and mobility

Energy System Development (ESD) – a departure from traditional cardio work, creating powerful bursts of energy

Regeneration & Flexibility training – a series of low-intensity activities designed to enhance recovery and get you to touch your toes again

Individual Trainings: Can also include Mat Pilates, Pilates Reformer, Yoga, Weight and Functional Trainings

Group Trainings: include all of the above except for Pilates Reformer.
