Welcome to the YTeens Program. It is our goal to provide your pre-teens and teenagers with a fun and safe environment.

YTeens Philosophy
The philosophy of the YTeens program is a holistic approach to working with Pre-Teens, Teenagers and their parents. Components incorporated into all our programs and activities are:
* Self-Esteem Building * Developing Leadership Skills *
* Providing Service Learning Opportunities * Health and Fitness *
* Increasing the 40 Developmental Assets & Character Building
Currently, we offer the following programs.
About our Staff
Each staff member and volunteer must clear a criminal back ground screening and be certified in CPR and 1st Aid. All staff receive a minimum of 20 hours of teen based training in a variety of areas including: Principles of Youth Work, Essentials of Asset Building, and Positive Discipline and Reinforcement.

YMCA Character Development is an important component inherent in all YMCA programs and operations. Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Faith comprise YMCA’s core values and are important to the development of the whole person. YMCA Character Development serves as a tool to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities with healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. By reinforcing and integrating it into its programs and operations, YMCA seeks to create communities where people of all faiths, creeds, and ethnicities will abide by, grow with, and become champions for YMCA’s core values.

Volunteers have always been the cornerstone of the successful YMCA movement. By volunteering for the YMCA you will become an important part of a leadership tradition and join thousands as they help build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Volunteering with the YMCA gives one a sense of belonging and enrichment as positive differences and influences are made in the lives of others everyday. A variety of volunteering opportunities exist. Specialists, mentors, tutors, club aids, coaches, chaperones, are just a few of the opportunities available in the Y-Teens program. Do something good for yourself and your community.
