Becoming a member of a YMCA Swim Team means fun, fitness and teamwork. YMCA swim teams are run by trained coaches and are designed to improve a young person’s swimming skills, endurance, and racing techniques, in a fun, non-competitive environment. YMCA swim teams promote healthy lifestyles while embracing the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Pre-Swim Team Hurricanes
"Hurricanes” is a pre-swim team that is geared towards being the stepping stone between traditional swim lessons and a full swim team. We focus on teaching and reinforcing correct stroke mechanics, competitive swim terminology, a physically ambitious mindset, and the physical strength and endurance to participate in a more competitive environment.
There are two levels of the Hurricanes Program; Beginner and Advanced. Both levels follow a pre-made curriculum.

Summer Swim League
Throughout the Summer Swim League season, swimmers will strengthen their stroke technique, build physical endurance, and deepen their understanding of competitive swimming strategy and application. Just as importantly, they will cultivate sportsmanship and teamwork in a supportive environment. Our primary goal is to provide young swimmers with a positive aquatic experience that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
