Excel After the Bell

As a leader in youth development, the YMCA of Greater San Antonio After School Program serves over 3,500 children ages 5-13 on a daily basis providing safe, quality, affordable afterschool care. Schoolage children are welcome to enroll in any of our afterschool sites year-round.

YMCA members and non-members are welcome to enroll.

Enrollment is open to any child, ages 5-13 years old who is a student of the school/district in which the site is located.
 

  • SAISD registration for the 2022-2023 school year is closed until we are notified of which schools we will be serving. This is a contract year and new school assignments are expected.

  • 10% discount on the lesser rate for the second child. If you experience problems in receiving the 2nd child discount, please call 210-924-2277 for assistance.

  • Members receive a 10% discount with a Duo or Family Membership that includes children.

  • $20 Registration fee per child with a maximum of $40 per family

  • Registrations received after July 15th may be required to pay one or two weeks of care at the time of registration based on the child's start date.

  • If you received a discount or scholarship for 2021-2022, you will be required to renew this for the the2022-2023 school year. If your discount or scholarship is awarded, it will be effective the same week you applied for the discount. Discounts or scholarships are not retroactive.

  • Payments are drafted one week in advance. If you missed early registration you may be required to pay two weeks upfront depending on your start date.

  •  You may enroll online or at your local YMCA.

  • CCS (Child Care Services) Vendor

  • Elementary After School is Licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services

  • On-School Campuses

  • Low staff-to-child ratios

  • Highly qualified staff who receive ongoing education

  • All staff undergo pre-employment background checks and FBI fingerprint
