Summer Fun Fest is a week all about welcoming campers, building friendships and introducing camp traditions in a fun and exciting way! At the Y, we want all our campers to feel comfortable, included, and excited about the summer ahead.
Roots and Wings
Who are you and who do you want to be? This week is all about finding out what makes you, YOU; and having the courage to grow. Activities will be inspiring, fun and full of discovery to be the best version of yourself.
All-Star Sports
Get your head in the game! During All-Star sport week, campers will build confidence and skill during our high energy fun. Our campers will be able to participate in age appropriate sprts, team challenges, mini games and repping your favorite team's gear. Are you ready to bring that All-Star energy!
Space Explorers
Space Explorers week takes campers on an out-of-this-world adventure, where they can transform into Astronauts, Scientist, Engineers and Cosmic Adventurers. As we travel through camp this week, campers will explore the wonders of space, from planets and stars to rockets and galaxies, while participating in astronomical Art and STEAM activities.
Party in the USA
This week, we’re celebrating the United States’ birthday! ‘Party in the USA” is all about having fun while learning how America came to be and why we celebrate Independence Day on the Fourth of July. We’ll explore what freedom means, learn about the American flag, and discover some cool traditions like parades, fireworks, and music. Kids will enjoy red, white, and blue crafts, games, music and celebrate the country’s history and the many people who make America special.
150th Birthday Bash
This week we’re celebrating 150 amazing years of the YMCA of San Antonio! For a century and a half, the Y has been a place where kids and families come together to learn, grow, play, and make lifelong friends. During this special celebration week, campers will discover what the YMCA stands for – caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. We’ll learn a little about the Y’s history, celebrate all the ways it has helped our community, and enjoy fun games, tam challenges, creative activities, and birthday–style celebrations! Get ready for a week full of spirit, teamwork, kindness, and FUN as we honor 150 years of making a difference and look forward to many more years to come!
Y-Chella
Who is ready to rock-n-roll? Y-Chella is going to bring the excitement and energy of a music festival to our campers. Through interactive activities and exploration of all music genres. From jamming with their friends, learning about instruments to singing, dancing, and creating their own songs.
Fin-Tastic Fun
Fin-Tastic fun week dives into ocean adventure! A week full of wave-tastic activities, shore-mazing crafts and games that will seas the fun. Campers will explore the wonders of the ocean as oceanographers
Mission Impossible
Get ready for a top-secret adventure! This week at camp, campers will enter Spy Academy, where they will train to become brave heroes, and clever spies. It is an action-packed week of fun- because every camper has a hero inside just waiting for their mission!
Camp Rodeo Roundup
Howdy cowboys and cowgirls, let's get ready to rope in all the summer fun we had this season. Bring your boot stoppin’ energy to a week full of friendships, memories, and all the fun campers have shared throughout this summer. This final week brings back our favorite games and activities, highlights special moments and gives campers a chance to reflect on their accomplishments. Our Camp Rodeo Roundup will make sure every camper feels proud of their summer experience.
